About Pond Supplies

Hi, Bob here,

I’d like to take a moment and discuss with you about where you can purchase your pond supplies.  I’ve gotten a lot of emails over the past few years asking me not only about suggestions for their pond, but also where they can purchase their pond supplies.  Instead of throwing a bunch of ads at you in my blog posts, I’d like to just cover it here on this page.

There are a few things you need to have for a nice pond that’s easy to take care of and get the most enjoyment from.  The five most important things you should have for your backyard pond are as follows.

  1. A good pond liner.
  2. A water pump.
  3. A pond filter.
  4. A UV filter.
  5. Some pond plants.

You can also include some different pond accessories and some fish, however they’re not necessary.

Through my experiences and the feedback that I have received is to get your pond supplies online.  Buying online is the way to go as far as I’m concerned.  It’s just so easy and convenient to do.  You can be rest assured that ordering is safe and secure.

As far as buying fish, I think it would be best to go to a local hobby store, so you can get them into your pond as soon as possible. The best fish for your pond are Koi, Comets, and Shubunkins.

I hope you find this to be a help to you in getting your backyard pond supplies. Take care, Bob

Feel free to offer any other suggestions.

Last year I made a small pond but bought too much liner. Simply folded the extra and hid it under rocks until this spring. I’d like to add a waterfall feature using the liner but I’m finding it hard to locate how-to videos/step by step for a simple elevated feature without using a preform. I’m not sure the basic elevation I would need and steps on how to use the liner so that water stays where I want it to go.
    Suggestions?

    Hi Sue,
If you download and read my free ebook, How To Build A Beautiful Backyard Pond, I go into what I did to build my waterfall.
