Backyard ponds with waterfalls will enhance your pond.  It’s really relaxing just listening to the water run down the rocks.  Those of you who have a waterfall in your pond know what I’m talking about.

When you first start designing your backyard pond, picture where you want to have your waterfall.  You want to be facing it so you can clearly see it.  Try to imagine how high you want it to be and what kind of rocks or sandstone you’re going to use for it.  Depending how high it is, you want to be sure to have a pond water pump strong enough to supply the water for it.

Below are a couple examples of backyard ponds with waterfalls.  Notice the two different ways that you can have a waterfall.  Just use your imagination.

Having a waterfall for your backyard pond is a must have as far as I’m concerned, it just adds so much to it.
